Is there any obligation to buy after a consultation? +

None whatsoever. Our consultations are genuinely informational. Many clients speak with us before they are even ready to purchase - simply to understand their options better. We prefer it that way. A client who feels informed and unpressured makes a decision they are happy with for a lifetime.

How long does a consultation typically take? +

Most first consultations run 20-40 minutes, though some clients prefer a shorter introductory call to start. We follow your lead. There is no fixed agenda - we work through whatever is most useful to you.

I don't know much about diamonds. Is that okay? +

That is exactly what the consultation is for. You do not need any prior knowledge. We will explain everything relevant to your decision - the 4Cs, what actually matters for light performance, how our VVS1-VVS2 standard differs from what most retailers sell - in plain, practical language.

Can I request a consultation for a bespoke piece? +

Yes. Bespoke work is one of the most common consultation topics. Whether you have a very specific vision or just a starting point, we can guide the design process from concept through to finished piece.

What is the minimum stone size Montare works with? +

Our engagement rings begin at 3 carats. This is not arbitrary - it reflects the size range where our VVS1-VVS2, D/E colour, Triple Excellent standard produces the most visibly distinctive result. If you are considering a smaller stone, we are happy to have that conversation honestly during the consultation.

How quickly will I hear back? +

Same day for all requests submitted before 5pm EST. For evening or weekend submissions, we respond first thing the following business morning. You will never wait more than one business day to hear from us.
