Five stages. Zero shortcuts.
Every MONTARE ring follows the same exacting process, from the first stone to the final inspection. We are not a factory. We are a craft house — and these are the stages a factory shortens.
Stone Selection
Every diamond hand-selected to meet all six MONTARE specifications. Colour, clarity, cut, proportions, and visual performance verified individually before a stone enters our inventory.
Design Engineering
CAD-modeled and structurally validated before production begins. Every angle, prong placement, and metal thickness is engineered for both beauty and long-term durability.
Cast — and Cast Again
The setting is cast or hand-fabricated in your chosen metal, then inspected. Casting is not perfectly repeatable: a piece can come out with porosity or an incomplete fill in a thin section like a prong. Where volume production would polish it back, fill it or hide it under the finish, we scrap it and cast it again — as many times as it takes. Every rejected casting costs metal. We would rather lose the gold than leave a flaw inside a ring somebody wears for fifty years.
Microset Under Microscope
100x magnification. 0.01mm precision on every prong and setting. Stones are placed and secured with maximum accuracy, ensuring structural integrity from day one.
Hand Finish & Final Inspection
Every ring is hand polished at the bench — never tumbled, never bulk finished — so the gallery, the under-setting and the inside of the shank are finished to the same standard as the top. Quality is then verified against MONTARE standards: every setting checked, every specification confirmed. Nothing leaves our workshop without final approval.
