Refund policy

Every Montare piece is made to order to an uncompromising standard, and we want you to love it. Here is how returns, exchanges, and cancellations work.

60-day returns on standard pieces

If you are not completely happy with a standard (non-bespoke) engagement ring, wedding band, or piece of fine jewellery, you may return it within 60 days of delivery for a full refund. To qualify, the item must be unworn, undamaged, and returned in its original condition and packaging, together with its IGI certificate (engagement rings) or third-party appraisal (wedding bands) and any accompanying documentation.

Bespoke & personalised pieces

Bespoke designs and personalised commissions are created specifically for you and require a 50% deposit to begin. Because work starts on your behalf, bespoke pieces are not eligible for return. If you cancel after production has begun, the deposit is non-refundable — it covers the design and setting work already underway — and we will send you your diamond. Before any work begins, you may cancel for a full refund. Your satisfaction still matters to us, so if something isn't right, please contact us and we will do everything we reasonably can to help.

Personalisation also makes a standard piece non-returnable. Any piece that has been engraved or otherwise altered to your specification is made uniquely yours and cannot be resold, so it falls outside the 60-day return window. If a choice you make means your piece can't be returned, we will tell you before you order.

Changed your mind later? Use your lifetime upgrade

Even outside the return window you are never stuck. Through our Lifetime Setting Upgrade, the value of your setting carries toward a new design whenever you trade up — for life.

How to start a return

Email info@montarediamonds.com with your order number. We will confirm eligibility and send a prepaid, fully insured return label. Once we receive and inspect the item, we issue your refund to the original payment method within 5–10 business days. Any import duties or taxes you already paid are non-refundable.

Cancellations

You may cancel for a full refund any time before production begins. Once production has started: standard pieces remain eligible under the 60-day return policy above; for bespoke pieces, the 50% deposit is non-refundable and we will send you your diamond.

Exchanges, resizing & repairs

Our lifetime warranty covers manufacturing defects such as prong tightening or stone resetting. One complimentary resize is included within the first year; for further sizing or exchanges, contact us and we'll guide you.
